14th August, 3-5pm, Mini-Symposium: Image Makers Image Takers

August 14th 2015, 3-5pm:

Mini-Symposium on ‘Image Takers – Image Makers’.

Practitioners from a variety of backgrounds e.g. art, science, history, design, architecture, philosophy etc. will discuss the difference between ‘taking’ or ‘making’ images.

Questions will be raised: Why do we take images? How are we ‘seeing’ in different disciplines across art and science? What is ‘an image’? What is the difference between taking images ‘in art and science’?

exhibition opening and drinks reception: 5-7pm
